Referring a Patient? Let’s Work Together

At Cheshire Veterinary Dermatology, we are proud to work alongside veterinary practices across the Northwest and beyond, offering support for pets with challenging skin, ear, and allergy conditions. We understand how time-consuming and complex these cases can be—and we are here to help.

Why Refer to Us?

We accept referrals for a wide range of dermatological concerns, from chronic otitis and pododermatitis to autoimmune diseases, allergic skin conditions, and unresolved infections. Our clinic is equipped with advanced tools including Storz video otoscopy, CBCT imaging, and CO₂ laser surgery—all essential for the diagnosis and treatment of skin and ear problems.

Our team, led by RCVS Advanced Practitioner Ingrid and Dermatology Diploma Registered Veterinary Nurse Bernie, brings over 25 years of experience in veterinary dermatology and a proven track record of managing complex cases with compassion and clarity.

Our field of expertise is dogs with chronic or recurrent otitis externa. The long-term outcome for these pets improves if collaboration is started within 6 months of treatment resulting in less patient comfort, owner stress and less owner expense.

Ideal Referral Cases Include

Our Collaborative Approach

We are committed to continuity of care. After each consultation, we will send a full clinical summary and treatment plan to the referring vet and remain available for any follow-up queries or ongoing advice. Our aim is always to return the patient to your care once they are stable and their condition is well-managed.

We also offer CPD support for practices looking to enhance their dermatology knowledge. If your team would benefit from a training session or discussion, we’d be happy to arrange this.

How to Refer

Referrals can be submitted via our refer form, by email or by calling the practice directly. We are happy to discuss potential cases before referral and can often offer guidance on next steps if needed.
